The MAX3232CSE is a low-power, up to 1Mbps, true RS-232 transceiver using four 0.1μF external capacitors. Its applications include High-Speed Modems, Battery-Powered Equipment, Hand-Held Equipment, Peripherals, Printers. The MAX3232CSE has a proprietary low-dropout transmitter output stage enabling true RS-232 performance from a 3.0V to 5.5V supply with a dual charge pump. The MAX3232CSE requires only four small 0.1µF external chargepump capacitors.
